The Insulation Process

First

The first step we will review your insulating needs by on site or by blue print consultation. Then we determine which insulation is right for you (Sealection 500 or Heat-lok). Once the type of insulation is determined you have another option which is an open or closed attic assembly. Open attic assembly is insulating the attic floor in between the joist after sheetrock. Closed attic assembly is insulating the roof deck creating a building envelope. Then we take precise measurements of the walls and the attic space to give you a fair quote. Once we have agreed on the product, the price and the time to start. It is time for the next step.

Second

The second step we start the prep work this includes caulking all exterior double studs, headers, top plates, and bottom plates. Plus we foam around all exterior windows and doors to unsure that your house does not get infiltrated by dust or air. Then cover the windows, doors and any other surfaces that need to be protected.

Third

The third step we begin spraying the wall cavities to the specified depth by the customer.

*(Note when spraying Sealection 500 foam it is applied as a liquid and then expands 120 times its volume to fill every nook and cranny providing superior energy efficiency. We at All Foam will make sure if we quote 3 ½”, 5 ½” etc. of foam you will get an average depth of foam as you were quoted nothing less. Please also note spray foam varies in its pattern of expansion so the texture and depth will vary slightly.)

Any excess foam will be trimmed away so that the sheetrock will fit flush to the studs. Then we move to the attic and insulate the roof deck or the attic floor.

When all of the spraying is finished we clean up the trimmings from the wall, plastic, caulk tubes, tape etc. Then sweep the floors spotless to ensure the next trade does not have any problems with debris or trash in their way. Then dispose of the plastic trash bags in the specified trash bin or area.
